The island of Bréhat is less than 2 hours away.
An island accessible by sailboat or motorboat.
The Bréhat archipelago is located around 15 miles from the deep-water port of Saint-Quay-Portrieux. Renowned for its beauty and agapanthus in season, this Breton island is a true haven of peace.
A rental motorboat will take you between 35 minutes and an hour to reach Bréhat.
With the right wind, tide and sailboat, allow two to three hours to reach La Chambre, the anchorage in the south-east of the island. To reach La Corderie via the Paon lighthouse or the Ferlat passage, you'll need another hour.
We said Breton paradise, didn't we? You won't be disappointed. At Bréhat, the scenery changes from hour to hour with the rhythm of the tides and the weather.

Special features of the navigation area.
For sailors, the area is known for its strong tides, currents and pinkish rocks. All of which make sailing in Bréhat spectacular and unforgettable.
To get there safely and with peace of mind, there are two options:
- The first is to be an ace with a paper map, a cras ruler and a surveying compass.
- The second (not excluding the first) is to be equipped with an online mapping system such as Navionics. A further guarantee that you'll be able to navigate the archipelago in complete safety.

For added convenience, Loc Voile Armor can rent you a sailproof navigation tablet equipped with Navionics. Sailproof tablets are hardened, anti-glare and waterproof: perfect for safe sailing.
Good advice:
To get to or from Bréhat: you can't always do what you want. Freedom at sea is a very relative concept. When you're sailing, you'll always have to go with the flow, whether the tide is medium or high. Sailing against the current will be a real pain, and all the more so when the wind is against the current .
Brehat's most beautiful anchorages.
- La Chambre: nine green visitor buoys are available at the entrance to La Corderie. The slipway at La Chambre offers easy access to the village. It's a 15-minute walk to the bakery, bar and Carrefour Market, or to enjoy an ice cream on the island. For boats over 10 m, the only option is to drop anchor in front of the Corderie and Guerzido beach. However, beware of the strong currents in this area, and be careful not to interfere with the Vedettes de Bréhat anchorage.
- La Corderie: there are six green visitor buoys for boats under 10 m located at the entrance to La Corderie. These moorings are ideal for enjoying magnificent sunsets. Caution: some of these buoys may run aground, depending on the coefficient of buoyancy. Check your draught. You can choose to access the north or south island by dinghy.
If you're planning to visit one of the ports in the Bréhat Archipelago, check the town hall website for information and prices for visitor buoys. The town council prohibits anchoring in any of the island's ports.
